Performer
Mr. Evan became fascinated with playing the piano at a very young age. When he was in college, he placed in the UCLA Frank Sinatra Competition for Popular Music. He continued his extensive study as a young pianist under the personal direction of concert pianists Mona Golabek, Earle Vooreheise, and Howard Richman. Later, he also studied with renowned jazz pianist Harry Fields.
Mr. Evan developed improvisation, arranging, and accompaniment styles at the piano, which led to many gigs in restaurants, church meetings, and hotels such as the Century Plaza, and featured solo and duo performances. Princess Cruise Lines picked him as a solo pianist for the Sea Princess, where he entertained excited audiences traveling to and from many different parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, China, and Alaska.
